Casual players visiting FlatPoint are most welcome to play (There is an honesty box by the first tee - see note 2 under fees)
A Classic Links Golf Course-- Hazards include the beach, gorse, stream and wind. Some of the holes you play so near the beach that the ambience of the course can take your concentration away. That's a "good excuse"!!! (John's excuse)
Flat Point Beach's Golf Course is now at a stage where fairways are fully playable and greens are developing well.
We hope you will enjoy the challenges that Ben( www.trinitymri.co.nz ) and Herb Ruhe have planned and created. In particular credit must go to Herb for his application and effort.
Golf Fees
1: Yearly Membership Fees available. These fees are tailored for Flat Point Residents use and enjoyment. If you wish to join and haven't already, please contact us by email on info@flatpoint.co.nz or Ph 063727527 to discuss and have a fee invoice sent to you.
2: Individuals and groups are welcome to play the course for a charge of $10 per day per person. There is an Honesty Box beside the No 1 Tee.

AIRSTRIP (NZFT)
Flat Point Airstrip (NZFT) 119.1 RWY 35 / 17 500m.
GSP : S 41 14.35 E 175 57.37
RWY 17 is not generally suited to R/H approach, otherwise approach is optional. Watch for long lucerne growth on RWY edges. Also turbulence on late final RWY 17 in SW - W / wind. Mean elevation of strip is 20' asl with a rising gradient south to north of 20' over length. Area is prone to NW - W gale force wind giving severe low level turbulence. Emergency vectors are for landing in such conditions.
