Note that overall this course is reasonably short but unforgiving
of the wayward shot. The following may tips may help.
| 1. |
Difficult par 3, play left of the green for safety where
your ball is less likely to end up in the river. Mind the bunker
front left of the green and the pothole bunker further left. |
| 2. |
Another tough hole early in the round. Two river crossings,
off the tee a fade or slice is the safest mistake where your
ball will still be in play. Draw the ball too much and you'll
be playing your 3rd off the tee. The approach shot is difficult,
watch out for players on the tee off area to the right of the
green. If you pull the ball left on the approach shot the bunker
may save you from the out of bounds Lucerne crop! |
| 3. |
Short par 3, you must carry a whole lot of trouble, easier
than it looks, missing the green to the right is the best mistake. |
| 4. |
Short par 4, with the near river bank starting at about 220m
moderate to bigger hitters should use smaller clubs off the
tee to save a lot of anger. Two bunkers guard the back of the
green. |
| 5. |
One of the safest tee offs on the course you can give it
a good whack here without too much risk of losing a ball. Smaller
hitters may struggle to cross the river from the back tee position. |
| 6. |
The "lay up" is probably the safest option, but
with a required carry of 170-180m taking on the river is often
just too tempting. |
| 7. |
A long par 3 with a narrow neck just in front of the green.
Big trouble all down the right side. |
| 8. |
Tough hole, where a good drive is essential if you're going
to have a chance approaching this green. A slice is fatal |
| 9. |
Tee off next to the 8th fairway, watch out for approach
shots from any players on the 8th. The longest hole, you can
bring out your biggest club without too much fear. A big tee
off will be rewarded with a view of the green. |
